Assassin's Creed Introduces Surprising Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season
In a unexpected partnership that defies traditional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Uncovered
According to the official statement, "An unusual meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of forbidden practices and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The narrative features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret cult.
The mission focuses on "bizarre experiments and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the quest will acquire an special katana together with multiple items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
